Living in Paphos provides wonderful opportunities to experience first-hand the archaeology and history of Cyprus. The Archaeology Group organises talks given by P3A members and by local and visiting archaeologists.  We also organise field trips.

Members can also volunteer, providing pot-washing assistance to university teams who come to excavate in the Paphos area.  In appreciation, these professional archaeologists invite the volunteers to a guided site tour.  Already in recent months, these pot-washing volunteers have been busy. In June and July, Terri and Adrian coordinated pot-washers to support the University of Leiden, at their Palloures - Chlorakas excavations.  In September they have been helping the Polish Teams at Kato Paphos Archaeological Park, near the Ancient Odeon.

Pot-washing help is still needed. It's a lovely social experience sitting in the shade and chatting for a few hours while washing some sherds. If you would like to be included in the next opportunity, please add your name to our list by emailing Terri and Adrian on terriade999@gmail.com
